OTP Bank

Hungary

Group agreement December 2019, subsidiary roll-outs from 2022, support running, new projects contracted for 2026. Norkom → BAE NetReveal 8.1/8.2 (now SymphonyAI). Group standard configuration: modernised transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP list management, newly introduced CDD risk scoring. The CDD roll-outs were preceded by a design phase: a needs assessment and a separate specification per bank. Group-level first-line support on an annual envelope, through the bank's own service management system. 12 million customers; Consortix's largest and longest-standing client.

MBH Bank

Hungary

Support since 2017, merger programme 2022–2023, support contracted to the end of 2026. SAS AML, SAS CDD with list management, SAS capital markets monitoring on SAS 9.4. When MKB, Budapest Bank and Magyar Takarékbank merged, all three banks were consolidated onto the existing platform as separate business units, with migrated history and preserved alerting processes. Support covers the entire system, both tenants and every environment; from 2024 it also took over what the software vendor had previously provided to one of the merged banks. The next task is the EU instant payments regulation: from January 2027, 3.5 million customers must be rescreened within 30 minutes of any list change. Consortix has proposed moving screening to the current platform generation in the bank's own cloud, with near real-time delta screening — this is still an offer under discussion.

Member bank of a large Western European banking group

Hungary

Support since December 2019, optimisation project in mid-2022, support still running. NetReveal. The work cut the investigator workload caused by false positives: customer segmentation derived from actual transactional behaviour using a data mining algorithm, threshold proposals per scenario and per segment from an optimisation algorithm, and back-testing on the bank's own historical data before go-live. Monthly re-segmentation maintains the model, and the methodology is documented for the bank's own governance. Part of the fee was a success fee tied to the reduction in false positives, with a fixed cap on true-hit loss. Support also covers new scenarios arising from Hungarian regulatory requirements.

Croatia

Implementation as a SAS subcontractor; change requests and second-line support sit under the local partner's contract. Implementation from May 2024, second-line support from mid-2025, still active in 2026. SAS Viya, standard SAS AML package. Architecture and specifications, installation, configuration, training, acceptance testing, go-live tuning and hypercare; the fully Croatian-language interface was delivered by the local partner, who also owns the client relationship. Customer due diligence was later redesigned. Support is four-tier: the bank's own expert users, the local partner, Consortix for the application and data layers, and finally the software vendor. Monthly preventive health checks with written recommendations.

OTP Bank

Croatia

Croatian subsidiary bank and the Croatian leasing company. Subsidiary roll-outs from 2022, Norkom → BAE NetReveal 8.1/8.2 (now SymphonyAI). Roll-out of the group standard configuration tailored to the local bank: modernised transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP list management, and CDD risk scoring. Ahead of the CDD roll-out, Consortix assessed the subsidiary's requirements and produced a separate specification for it. Group-level first-line support on an annual envelope, through the bank's own service management system.

State-owned development bank

Bulgaria

We worked on this project as a SAS subcontractor, with a local Bulgarian SAS partner. Contract December 2018, delivery by May 2019. SAS AML 7.1, SAS Banking Analytics Architecture, SAS 9.4. A fixed-price, fixed-time build covering all three areas at once in roughly four and a half months: 11 detection scenarios with 4 risk factors, 22 attribute-based due diligence rules, 6 screening scenarios, with reporting, training, tuning and go-live support. A distinct element was a real-time channel that screens the applicant against watchlists at the moment of onboarding, before they become a customer.

National Bank of Moldova

Moldova

Implementation as a SAS subcontractor; from 2026, direct maintenance and support won through an open tender. Implementation from 2021, live phase accepted in December 2022, support to July 2027. SAS AML and SAS CDD on Viya, with SAS Visual Analytics. One platform serving two functions: alongside conventional money laundering and terrorist financing monitoring, it also serves the unit supervising shareholder transparency, which has to record and monitor the direct and indirect owners and beneficial owners of banks, identify concerted action, connected persons and undeclared groups, and surface the relationships between owners, executives, debtors and bank customers. Business requirements, data mapping and validation, and configuration of alert generation, risk ranking, detection scenarios, due diligence rules and management reporting, with up to 50 rules per unit. After go-live, decision-tree-based segmentation and per-segment threshold optimisation on historical data.

Ukrainian member bank of a large Western European banking group

Ukraine

Delivered by the Consortix Group team, 2013–2014, Detica NetReveal 6.6. Implementation of the AML module as a single-organisation batch installation: platform, investigation management, alert and case workflow, the standard scenario set, and separate scenarios for local detection requirements. The work formed part of the group's international financial crime and compliance programme.

Greece

Three consecutive engagements through local partners. Original implementation from 2021, payment screening from mid-2023, first-line support since April 2023, extended four times to June 2027. SAS AML and SAS CDD. The first engagement was the AML and customer due diligence implementation. The second answered instant payments: near real-time payment screening designed for sub-second response, against a commercial watchlist and the bank's internal list, with a second server and synchronised alert data so the real-time path stays available even if one server fails. The same screening logic serves both the real-time and the overnight batch runs. The third is ongoing first-line support.

Leading insurance group

Greece

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, implementation in 2019, support to the end of 2021. SAS AML, SAS Banking Analytics Architecture, SAS Visual Analytics. 15 detection scenarios, risk rating factors, list screening against one international and two local lists, management reporting, training, tuning, pilot and go-live support, followed by operational support under an SLA.

Small Vienna-based bank owned by a foreign parent

Austria

Framework agreement 2017, screening project 2021–2022, support to 2023. Norkom (BAE Systems Applied Intelligence). The bank had previously bought onboarding and transaction screening as an outsourced service from another bank; it brought this in-house: on-demand due diligence scoring on its customer data and real-time list screening of customers and transactions on its own platform. The existing interface structure and data load were deliberately left untouched, which is what made the switch feasible. Transaction screening came first, onboarding second, reusing scoring logic the bank already knew. First-line support followed, with escalation to the software vendor.

Payments provider with eight business lines

Germany

Consortix operates the application layer and owns the service level, behind the partner that holds the client contract, and also acts as the licence channel. At the client since October 2018, the current service period runs to the end of 2026. SAS AML. Each business line has its own tenant with its own configuration. Transaction monitoring, list screening, real-time and batch due diligence scoring and case management, against a 99 per cent availability target with tiered response times. Daily automated and manual processing checks, preventive maintenance, and a shared quarterly envelope for changes, questions and reporting requests. The client therefore runs no AML operations team of its own.

Berlin-based commercial bank

Germany

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, 2017–2018, SAS AML. Before committing to a platform, the bank wanted to test the approach on its own data. A two-day requirements workshop covering customer risk rating, the due diligence scenarios behind it and three sample scenarios; then loading the existing fraud detection data store into the AML platform, configuring the due diligence scenarios until the bank could sign off the risk rating, and building the three sample scenarios with reworked investigation screens, with detection and scoring validated end to end and documented. Combined with an interim customer due diligence solution.

Hoist Finance

Germany

Delivered as a service; the German market of the Swedish credit management group. Agreement in August 2022, first markets live from mid-2023, support since. SAS AML and SAS CDD with the Consortix AML Accelerator, investigation in SAS Visual Investigator. The group buys and manages loan portfolios across European markets; the German market runs as its own tenant, with its own configuration and its own queues, on the shared platform that carries transaction monitoring, customer and list screening, due diligence scoring, case management and management reporting. Consortix runs the service: system operations, technical maintenance, patching, first-line support and a quarterly support envelope.

Shared banking service provider

Denmark

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, 2020, with support work to 2022. SAS AML, SAS Real-Time Sanction Screening, SAS Data Management. The platform had to serve many banks from a single implementation, in a way that lets each bank configure its own scenarios, moves changes through controlled change management, and lands deployments at several banks at once. Consortix supplied senior and principal AML consultants to the vendor-led programme: first for assessment and design, where the implementation plan itself was the deliverable, then for the implementation with quality assurance, advisory work and knowledge transfer.

Global vendor finance company owned by a Dutch banking group

Netherlands

Consortix as advisor and SAS subcontractor, January 2020 – May 2025. SAS AML and SAS CDD, later Viya with SAS Intelligent Decisioning. Onboarding compliance for 30 countries on a single multi-tenant platform: overnight screening and scoring, risk-based periodic review, real-time onboarding and event-driven review processes. The licensed Consortix add-on contributed further scenarios and risk factors for customer clustering, reprocessing of historical data, handling watchlists from several vendors, and the group's own customer risk score — as maintained, warranted components with a two-year fix commitment. The consultants defended the functional architecture against business process pressure, measured requirements against what the product could carry, and supported business user adoption. In the final years, the work covered quality assurance of changes to the live platform and participation in the delivery team for the next-generation solution.

Leading UK wealth manager

United Kingdom

Implementation from October 2018, second phase 2020–2021, support since 2019, contracted to the end of 2027. SAS AML, SAS Visual Analytics, Consortix AML Accelerator. Here the risk sits in the bonds, the bondholders and changes of ownership, so detection was built around the bond and the bondholder rather than around bank accounts. The original solution was built on the pre-configured Accelerator; in the second phase it moved to a new customer data load, with the full detection set realigned to the new data, plus training, three rounds of acceptance testing and go-live support. Since then, first-line support and a continuous stream of change requests for newly emerging typologies; the most recent cover frequent changes of bondholder and rapid payout after a change of ownership, at both bond and holder level.

UK subsidiary of a Nigerian banking group

United Kingdom

February 2019 – early 2020. SAS AML 7, SAS Visual Analytics. The bank faced the UK regulator with a detection configuration inherited from its parent group. Diagnosis came first: a structured assessment of the existing configuration, its coverage and its gaps measured against good practice and European regulation, with a costed improvement roadmap. The assessment credited what was sound — the data load and the bank's policies — and located the real weakness in detection design: duplicated logic instead of segmentation, static thresholds instead of profiles, and risk scoring left unused. The remediation then executed on that: consolidation of the scenario set through segmentation and dynamic parameters, 11 new scenarios, profile-based detection, four risk factors to support investigation, training, and tuning of the full set.

One of the country's leading banks

Iceland

Support since July 2019, platform migration contracted in March 2025, support still running in 2026. SAS AML and SAS CDD, migrated from 8.2 to 8.3, with SAS Visual Investigator and Visual Analytics. The original implementation replaced the bank's previous monitoring with transaction monitoring, list management and customer due diligence on one platform; the bank's head of risk solutions called it one of the fastest implementations he had ever run. The 2025 migration carried the configuration across with no functional change, including the bank's custom investigation screens and tailored workflows; historical alerts, cases, attachments and notes moved too, and due diligence scores were recalculated with the same logic, preserving manual overrides.

Savings bank group

Finland

SAS subcontractor on the original implementation, subcontractor to a consultancy on the current migration. Original AML and CDD implementation 2020, migration contracted at the end of 2025, in delivery through 2026. From SAS AML 7 to SAS AML Viya 4. The migration carries the entire configuration across with no functional change: transaction monitoring scenarios, due diligence rules, list matching, reports and regulatory reporting, together with historical alerts and cases so that investigation history is preserved. Due diligence scores are recalculated with the same logic, keeping manual overrides. Before cutover, a parallel run compares the old and new systems on the same data.

Leading Finnish financial group

Finland

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, 2017. SAS AML and SAS CDD, SAS Visual Analytics. Migration of transaction monitoring and customer due diligence off the previous platform, sized for roughly 200,000 transactions a day, with a multi-tenancy extension covering one of the group's foreign corporate banks. The data load was aligned to the files of the existing interface, so the group changed platform without having to rebuild its data extracts. Configuration, specifications, testing, training, tuning and pilot support through to acceptance, on a fixed-time, fixed-price basis. On closure the group gave formal permission for Consortix to name it as a reference — something most vendors never obtain from a client of this weight.

Latvian corporate bank of a leading Finnish financial group

Latvia

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, 2017. SAS AML and SAS CDD, SAS Visual Analytics. The Finnish parent group's transaction monitoring and customer due diligence were migrated off the previous platform to SAS, sized for roughly 200,000 transactions a day; as part of that work, the multi-tenancy extension brought the Latvian corporate bank onto the system as well. Configuration, specifications, testing, training, tuning and pilot support through to acceptance, on a fixed-time, fixed-price basis.

Hoist Finance

Sweden

Delivered as a service. Agreement in August 2022, first markets live from mid-2023, support since. SAS AML and SAS CDD with the Consortix AML Accelerator, investigation in SAS Visual Investigator. The group buys and manages loan portfolios across European markets; every market brings its own customer base into AML scope under its own regulator, and the group did not want to build AML technology operations in each country. The solution is one platform with a separate tenant per market: transaction monitoring, customer and list screening, due diligence scoring, case management and management reporting shared, with configuration and queues of its own per market. Entering a new market therefore became a tenant configuration task rather than a new system project. Alongside the Swedish market there is also a separate Swedish loan portfolio queue. Consortix runs the service: system operations, technical maintenance, patching, first-line support and a quarterly support envelope.

Digital consumer lending group operating in several countries

Poland

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, implementation in 2018, project closed in October 2019. SAS 9.4, SAS AML alert generation server, SAS Enterprise Case Management. A single installation with one data model, one set of detection logic, one investigation workflow and one set of permissions for every country in the group — removing the need for a separate AML system per market and sparing the compliance team from working across five different systems. Built on the pre-configured Accelerator as a fixed-price, fixed-time project, with the scenarios selected in assessment workshops held with the client; later extended through change requests.

Large commercial bank

Portugal

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, December 2017 – 2018. SAS AML and SAS CDD. One phase of the bank's AML programme, weighted towards the data work: loading the bank's customer, account, transaction and relationship files, mapping them to the platform data model, validating them with results stored auditably, then configuring the full detection and due diligence rule set together with segmentation and scoring. The configuration also encoded the bank's risk policy: a business-maintained high-risk country list, inherited country risk scores, exclusion of transfers between a customer's own accounts from monitoring, and a whitelist of internal accounts to suppress noise alerts. Everything was proven on synthetic positive and negative test cases before handover.

Americas

Regional commercial bank

Canada

From September 2019, with three years of support and change requests to 2021. SAS AML and CDD 7.1, SAS Visual Analytics, plus the Consortix Wired regulatory reporting software. Consortix won the architecture and design stream and delivered as prime. FINTRAC expects suspicious transaction, large cash and electronic funds transfer reports, reliably and on time. Delivery ran from detection through to submission: transaction monitoring with 15 scenarios, real-time list screening against major commercial and public lists plus the bank's own lists, overnight customer risk scoring that automatically opens an enhanced due diligence case on high risk, case management, and FINTRAC reporting produced directly from the platform via Wired. Training and a defined support model with committed response and fix times.

Member-owned, federally licensed credit union

Canada

From 2018, with five years of support, later extended to 2024. SAS AML and CDD 6.3, SAS Enterprise Case Management, SAS Visual Analytics, in the credit union's own AWS environment. It replaced its previous system while obtaining its federal licence and expanding nationally. The distinguishing element is the real-time decision at the moment of onboarding: a new applicant is screened and scored through a synchronous web service — approval at low risk, enhanced due diligence at medium, block and case creation at high — with the block lifted automatically if the investigator lowers the risk. The full platform sits around it: transaction monitoring, list screening with the credit union's own black and white lists, overnight rescoring, case management and FINTRAC reporting. Support ran for the five contracted years with Consortix as the single point of contact, then was extended.

Africa

Afreximbank

Egypt

From 2023, remediation project 2024, support since June 2025, interface project in delivery through 2026. SAS AML and SAS CDD, SAS Visual Analytics and network analytics. A multilateral trade finance institution based in Cairo; the distinct risk profile of trade finance shows in the detection set, with scenarios for flows towards high-risk countries, two-way transfers and dual-use goods alongside classic laundering patterns. The engagement opened with a health check of the existing AML system, followed by remediation of what it found, on the bank's existing platform: extending the customer risk scoring model, retuning the detection logic with better segmentation and thresholds across 13 scenarios, simplifying the case workflow, integrating a commercial adverse media source, adding management reporting for audit, detection and workload monitoring, and closing specific defects. Since 2025, second-line support in a three-tier model between the bank's expert users and the software vendor, with a mirror copy of the live configuration for diagnosis and a written root cause analysis for every high-priority incident. The live project connects the AML platform to the bank's new customer data store: the interface is built and tested, roll-out still to come.

Commercial bank

Mozambique

We worked as a SAS subcontractor, February – August 2020. SAS AML 7.1, SAS Visual Analytics. The software was installed but the capability was missing: the deadline agreed with the central bank had already slipped once, and the bank was bridging the gap with manual monitoring by its own management information team. Consortix put the configured AML Accelerator onto the existing installation: 15 transaction monitoring scenarios, 8 risk rating factors, list screening against one international and two local lists, reporting, training, tuning, pilot and go-live support, at a fixed price. The project ran through the first wave of COVID, which postponed on-site training and delayed hardware procurement; it closed in August 2020.
